Just picked up used a 6mm ppc Sako single shot. I have no experience with this cartridge and did a search on this site with no results. Would someone please post me some of their favorite loads for this round. The rifle will primarily be used for groundhog shooting and I do have an ample supply of Benchmark, VVN 133 and H322, all of which I hear are good powders for this round. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same rifle. I have had luck with the following:

65 Berger or VMAX 29.5 / B-Mark OAL = 2.195 (VMAX)
62 Berger MEF 29.9 / AA2460 OAL = 2.150

Pretty much everything I have shot in mine goes into one hole, or at worst a half inch. I use Lapua 220 Russian brass and Fed 205 M primers. These loads give me no pressure signs, but start low and work up.

Does your Sako have the BR trigger with the two holes in the trigger guard?

No two holes in the trigger guard but it does have a very sweet trigger. My Weatherby, Coopers, Kimbers or my other Sako's don't even come close. No slack, creep nothing. Just a little tickle and its off.

26.5gr of H322, Fed 205m and a 70gr Nosler BT is what I shoot in mine. Probably not the fastest load, but shoots in the low .4's for me.

H322, Benchmark, Tac, N133. In my rifle, neck tension is (much) more important than charge weight: I just managed to shoot a 1.1" (vertical) x .06" (horizontal) group with some Lapua brass I used too large a bushing on........ HTH, Dutch.
