Speer******* And yes they shot good if you don't try to put them out too fast. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

Yes Roger is right...Speer and they're among my favorite bullets. Accurate and devastating to varmints. I disagree however in that you can drive them as fast as you want. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I've had them come apart in my 22-250 but perform beautifully in my .223. I THINK they are Speer's answer to Hornady's SX bullets.

Because of lite construction, Speer recommends different vel limits on TNT bullets in their manual depending on caliber being used. The .224" has a upper limit of 3400fps. ------------------------------------ The trouble with the Internet is that it's replacing masturbation as a leisure activity. ~Patrick Murray "Why shouldn`t truth be stranger then fiction? The 50 grain TNT is all I shoot in my Sako .222. It is knife-edge accurate and evaporates prairie dogs. It is also a fairly economical bullet, especially in the bulk packs. Speer now has out a 55 grain TNT made for higher velocity rounds, but I have no experience with it. A friend is about to load some in a .22-250, so maybe I'll get a report soon. They also make a 33 grain TNT expressly for the Hornet, but it is a disappointingly blunt and non-aerodynamic bullet that doesn't seem to shoot that well. Bummer. I have used the 70 grain 6mm in a .243. It did well enough, but not as well as my favorite load with 70 grain BalTips, so I did not pursue it.

Speer's 50 gr. TNT is one of the most accurate bullets I've used in my .223 and .22-250. It easily equaled or exceeded the accuracy of some custom benchrest bullets. Don Stewart NRA Benefactor Life Member

I shoot them in my Ruger 1V 220 swift at 3850 fps and have great results using them on P-dog. I think that it is the rotation that makes them come apart. My swift has a 1-14 twist and if you figure thee rotation at 3850 fps as to a 1-9 twist out of a 223 rem they arn't spining aa high of a rpm out of the 220 swift as they are out of the 223 rem. Just my thoughts. Minnestoa Dick
