I've found that running my finger across the plastic a few times will knock the static cling away. Give it a try.

Wash it with liquid dish soap and let it air dry. The soap film seems to help break the static charge. The other post recommending the drier sheet is good advice. If you have one handy it`s the quickest and most effective.
