| I think that VV N560 is a little too slow for the 338-06, but it's only a guess.... It's my first choice for the 300 Win. Mag. and 270 WSM. |

| VihtaVuori has loads with N560 for the 30-06 with heavier bullets. Seems to me that it's worth a try. |

| Your RL15/54gr load would be hot in my .338-06. I would start @ 51gr & work up. I think you are going to have to push 225gr hard to get to 2700fps IMO, unless you are shootign a 26"bbl. My go to load is 54gr RL15 under the 210grNP for 2700fps+ from my 23"bbl. I have been playing recently w/ VV160 under 210gr & 250gr vel. look good but I have yet to test for accuracy (my rifle needs some bedding adjustment). I think VV560 will be a bit too slow but let us know what you come up with.

| I haven't tried N-560 in my 338.06,but I have tried N-550 with 210 and 225s.The max is abour 61-62 gr,after that the velocity extreme spread opens up from single digits,as does the group size.I have found N-560 bit slower than RL-22,with a narrow pressure sweet spot and it's fairly high.

| figured on throwing some of these NorthForks out and seen posted around some rather extreme numbers. Figured on working up the RL15, am curious about BL-C2 and H414 for this caliber also. This is a nice round, shot some Kodiak 200's out of this and it is a flat shooter, got some Kodiak 250's for those furry critters with the long rooting claws thanks, |
