Yes, I am using this combination. With 180 grain Accubonds propelled by 81.0 grains of RL-25, Fed 215 primer, and Federal once-fired brass, loads are clocking 3085 FPS from my Sako with its 24.4" barrel. Keep in mind the following: 1. This rifle has a full length magazine which allows seating the bullets longer than standard for this cartridge. Shorter seating my both limit the amount of powder and raise pressures. 2. This rifle has a long enough throat to seat out to 3.54". A shorter throat may both limit the amount of powder and raise pressures. 3. The Reloader line of powders, manufactured by Bofors in Sweden, is an excellent line of powders, but they have a reputation for varying more from lot to lot than many other powders. The lot of RL-25 that you or some manual may be working with may be enough slower or faster than mine to make a difference. This combination has been very accurate for me, and pressures appear to be sustainable. Your mileage

I've been using 180's with RL25 in my 300RUM. Works good. High velocities and accurate. Have gun- Will travel The value of a trophy is computed directly in terms of personal investment in its acquisition. Robert Ruark

Amen...Rel 25 CAN vary a lot, so start low and work up. I've had one lot that 81 gr a was fine, and the next lot will top out at 75 gr. Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Terry's comment above will give you some guidance. I don't think you'll do any permanent damage to anything if you begin with the same weight of powder as the top load listed by a trusted source for RL-22; you can work from there as indications dictate.
