My rifle has liked IMR7828 under the 140 Triple Shocks. Using 74 grains gives me a consistent 3390 fps 12-15 ft from muzzle and shoots 1/2" groups at 100.

This is one Flat load, I sighted the load 1.5" high at 200 (Still grouping weLl at that distance) for a 250 yard zero. It was around 1.75" high at 100.

This Morning I ran the numbers and this combo is only 2.6" low at 300 and 11.4" low at 400. That's a heck of a flat shooting combo. This one would be a great western plains load.

Good Luck!

Man, that sounds like a heck of a good load.

I also use IMR 7828 in my 7mm Wby Mag. I use 72 grains behind a 160 grain Nosler Partition.
That gives me close to 3200 fps.

The best part is that this load duplicates the velocity and trajectory of my 300 Wby Magnum when shooting the 180 grain Nosler Partition.

I have them both sighted in the same with new 3.5X10 Leupolds with the Boone and Crockett reticle. That is a great combination.

The 7mm Wby Mag is a much overlooked cartridge, in my opinion.
