More fps with the Triple shock?

I keep hearing that the Triple shock will allow additional velocity over the regular X due to reduced pressure based on the design. How much more speed can be expected? I would be pushing them in a .308 and would not count on the extra speed to flatten the trajectory, just provide a little more insurance for proper expansion at longer ranges. I swore to never use another X bullet a few years ago after getting shotgun sized groups but it seems that they are a more consistent product than they were a while ago, I just need a little more motivation at $30 a box.

If you are getting extra speed are you using the same powder or did you move to a faster/slower choice? Thanks for any information.

Todd C, I do not know how much faster my loads are with the 150 gr. TSX over the other bullets but they are very accurate in my Savage 10FP. Currently I'm loading them with 45 grs. of Varget. I'm probably going to stay with these bullets. They were devastating on the buck I shot this last season.

I was right there with you. Swore to never buy another barnes bullet. But I am back with em with the Triple XXX. I have bad luck though in 150gr in my 308Win, but great luck with 180gr in my 300RUM. Take a look at my groups in another forum. Changing seating can have a significant impact. So I plan to play around with my seating on my 308Win before giving up. as far as velocity, weather hasn't permited my chrony to come out yet.
