Went to the range Saturday with a few guns and finished up load development on my .243 Winchester. Just want to make sure everything sounds o.k. to others. I shoot an older Ruger M77/Tang safety .243 with 22" tube. I worked with brand new Winchester brass, Nolser 55 grain ballistic tips, RL 15 and Federal 210M primers. The Nosler book lists loads from 41.0 to 45.0 grains. The best groups (4 sub m.o.a. on two different days) were shot with 42.0 grains of RL 15. Very nice shooting, low recoil round. The interesting part of it is this: Nosler list well of 3500 fps with 41.0 grains...my loads averaged just over 3400 for the six I fired Saturday. Not fast by any stretch, but it is the best I have gotten that rifle to shoot anything accuracy wise.

Your barrel is 22" Nosler test barrel is most likely 24-26" I get GREAT accuracy using H-380 with same bullets and Fed Match Mag primers I have shot many a group under 1/2"@ 100 and 1.5" @ 200 after I switched to the Fed MM primers it made all the difference before that it was 1-1.5" @ 100.
