got a 14" 35rem contender barrel that i had a rim counterbore cut for making 35rem rimmed. gonna run a 303 british case into a 35rem trim die, and then size with the standard 35rem full length sizer. i think it'll be a fun round wondering if seafire had worked with blue dot in the 35rem(got data?) .....or what powders etc. have youins had luck with? thinkin on trying blue dot, h322, h4895, and varget. will mostly use the hornady 180gr ssp and maybe some 180gr hard cast bullets(for sale) from "magnum mike" at specialty pistols website. Kyode, I have never owned a 35 Remington, although it is on my short list of calibers, that I would love to get ahold of... just never got around to it.... So I have not had the opportunity to work up loads for it, but I can make some educated guesses based on working with the 30/30 and the 444 Marlin.... The 30/30 seem to like about up to 15 or 16 grains of Blue Dot.... the 444 will take about 22 to 24 comfortably..... My suggestion would be starting at the 15 to 16 grain range and work up with a max load around 20 to 21 grains or so... As much as I like blue Dot in the 30/30 case, I found SR 4759 is superior to accuracy... and equal on recoil reduction....20 grains was listed as max for a 200 grain bullet and 23 grains was listed as max for a 150 grain bullet....this is IMR published data! Give it a try first... cheers seafire

I totally agree with Seafire on this one - get some SR4759 - its works real well for light loads in my .358 Winchesters and you have the advantage of factory-published data for it: http://www.imrpowder.com/data/rifle/35rem.php Thanks, Dad, for taking me into the Great Outdoors.

I have a 14" contender barrel and using 38 cal. 180gr Nosler bullets with a WLR primer and anywhere from 27.4 to 30gr of IMR 4198 and the bullet seated to the middle of the cannelure but not crimped. I had great results and my best group (the only time I tried it) was 1/2" at 200 yards. I shot the IMR4198 loads for several years and shot many perfect scores in Big Bore handgun silhouette. My Marlin 336 likes IMR4895 with a 200gr RCBS cast. I hope this helps. Joe
