This weekend I had a chance to do some more testing on the M70 with the A-5 stock: 7mm WSM WLRM Primer VV N165 62.0 Berger 180 VLD BC: .698 2780 FPS MV Five shot Group: .331" Net @ 100 yards 75.3*F 29.75 in Hg 49.7 RH I think I could have done better with the 62.5 group, but the wind started blowing a lot harder. That's very good shooting and under rough conditions as well. I would like to see that bullet shot at 200 yds at least cause it's a long range rig for sure. Don't overlook using a drop tube or fine grain powder as your trying to push the envelope.

Gotta love those 180 gr. VLDs. I've been shooting them at 1000 yds. in my 280 AI pushed by H1000. Exceptional accuracy and you don't have to take the punishment that the 300 mag shooters are taking.

Yesterday, we again visited the range with 180 Berger VLD and VV N165 but with F215M, a magnum match primer: GRNS VEL.(SD, Sigma) 62.0 2834(9) 62.5 2866(8) 63.0 2895(7) 63.5 2916(6) 85.0*F 30.2 in Hg 25% Humidity Note the difference in velocity and it is interesting in this case that the best group was the heaviest load. Some minor primer extrusion around firing pin, nice bark, light to medium recoil even with Break and 15# gun. With WLRM primer, best group was 62.0 to 62.5. This is an excellent mid-range target load. I think for now the F215M load will be the one loaded for target shooting. D.
