| I used Imr4831-65.5 max with hornady boatail sp 150gr-3050fps-good accurate load-should be right in there with the 150 interbond-a good bullet. And H414-62-65.5 max at 3201fps good one also. [ 11-30-2003, 11:42: Message edited by: 4bambam ] |

| Try IMR 4350 with a 150 gr. bullet some where between 65 and 66 gr using a Rem. 9 1/2M primer. I did some load development for a friend of mine and there were several powders that worked very well. Another powder that showed great promise was Vithavouri N550, but the man who owned the rifle didn't want to use N550 because he had a lot of IMR 4350 so I didn't persue that any further. Varget looked like it might work as well. I would be surprised if IMR 4064 wouldn't work. That is very good powder in my 300 WSM with 150 to 155 gr. bullets.
Hope this has helped some........RiverRat |

| VARGET from 56.0-60.0 grains should give you a good load. Mine loves 57.0 grains of VARGET and the 159 grain Groove Bullets. It also shot the Remington factory 180 grain load consistently under 1 inch but the only reason I had them is because I got them wwith the rifle and the brass was needed. Those factory 180's averaged 3184fps and the factory 165's only average 3039!! 57.0 grains of Varget and a CCI 250 behind the 150 grain Nosler BT gave me 3159fps and the same load using the Hornady 165's chronied 3005fps. | Thanks for the input guys...I've noticed that some of you are specific about the primers you prefer...at the risk of sounding ignorant, do the primers make a big difference and which are better than others?? Dave |
