Recently, I responded to a thread stating that RCBS's warranty was a little better than Dillon's because RCBS will replace lost parts. http://www.serveroptions.com/ubb/Forum6/HTML/003986.html Someone inferred I was a liar. Here is a quote from a Dillon employee:

Eddie, I never said you were a liar. I simply said that my experience and the experience from dozens and dozens of people I know are not consistent with what you posted. Anyone can go on any BB and post anything they want about who they are and what they've done. Doesn't make it true or correct. So if it makes you happy. You are correct. That guy who claimed to be a Dillon employee did in fact post what he claimed to be Dillon's policy on that BB you just pasted here. Are you happy now? Be that as it may...I can cite probably 10 examples in my own case when this was not true. And if you do a search of any BB related to this topic you will quickly find hundreds if not thousands of posts that reinforce my experience. Let it go...

Eddie, you forgot to quote the section from the RCBS manual that promises to replace lost parts... Thanks,

Regardless of their policy, Dillon replaced the tube that goes from the shell hopper to the press and a large pistol disk for my shell hopper that I lost in a move. No Charge. ------------------

I have a RCBS powder measure with the large cylinder. RCBS catalog lists both large and small cylinders at $26.95 each. I called to order one and explained that I was haveing problems throwing small loads for my pistol, so they sent me one free of charge.

quote: Ditto, only reversing Dillon and RCBS. If you read my original post, you'll notice I said some received free replacements, some didn't. The only reason I posted this is because about twice a week I see someone get offended because someone else posts a differing opinion. Geez, if everyone shared the same likes we would all be driving Model Ts. You saw my post that (in your opinion) belittle Dillon and it upset you. Your words as I recall were, "Since you're not speaking from experience, you're wrong." Since I posted my experience you were inferring that I lied. That's what happens when emotions take over; folks speak without thinking. Although my emotions rose a bit when I saw the inference, I gave my reply some thought. Here's a thought: Rather than telling other folks their experiences are "wrong," simply post your own experiences.

quote: As far as I'm aware it's not printed anywhere. I just know the four or five times I've called to replace something they refuse to charge me. On two occassions I admitted losing the part(s) and on another I had broken a screw off while experimenting. Dillon turned me down flat even after I explained the part was launched into space because another Dillon part failed. They did replace the part that failed and, the real kicker, the part I paid for was in a little bag marked RCBS. I can't think of a single business that deserves my loyalty. If RCBS screws me over tomorrow, you'll read about it here. If Dillon markets the best widget since Dr. Zarkoff's, I'll buy it. I'm not blue, green, red, gray or green. Eddie
