Has anybody on here loaded any 140gr. FTX bullets with Alliant 2400 or H110? I bought some to load in a Ruger Blackhawk (357 mag) and figured I would get the load data off of Hornady's web site, but they only give load data for about 5 powders, and none of them are what I normally use for magnum pistol.

I also have Blue Dot, Power Pistol, and several other powders that SHOULD be suitable, but none that Hornady lists. Any help would be appreciated.

A guess would be - Start with Alliant Data for a 158gr jacketed bullet. Maximum listed is 14.8 gr of 2400. Reduce to a starting load of (-10%) 13.3 gr. Work from there increasing the powder charge by .5 gr till your reach your maximum for you bullet. The H110 should not be reduce more the 3% from maximun IF you can find a loading for a 140gr.
