gas chek larger than cast bullet's buttom?

Hi
I have a lee mold 160 gr rn and i've received a party of 2000 hornady gas gas cheks which are too large for the bullet's buttom. what shall i do? may i use liquid adhesive for attaching them? please give me your advice, TIA

I guess I would find the right ones. you wouldn't want one left in the barrel. Are you sure they are the caliber or maybe the lee mold has a differant base design that well not take horaday gas checks.

are they 30 cal. gas checks. What dia are you sizing the bullets to. I would contact lee about the gas checks not fitting properly. Usually the bullet base is too large for the gas checks.

The gas checks have to be crimped in place with your sizer/luber die. The bullet has to have a smaller portion on the bullet base to allow for this operation. Check out the Lyman manual for a good break-down of how to install the gas checks on your bullets.
