I know it is a stupid question to ask , but then again someone must have found a way to do it. As far as know you can not pull a rimfire bullet in a inertia bullet puller. The reason why i ask , its just that those 30 & 35 grain (CCI .22 WMR) bullets simply look to good not to reload . Has anyone ever tried this I would appreciate some input. And can you get the Winchester Supreme 34 gr. in reloading form , simply cant seem to find these in South - Africa. I want to try this in my favorite rifle , my trusty little Brno .22 Hornet

I used to pull alot of 22LR bullets when I was younger (don't ask...). You're right, an inertia puller won't work. The bullets have a little "ball" type base to them, that the case crimps in front of. I can't see how you'd ever get one out & be able to reuse it. You'd also need to remove the crimp from the case mouth before you could put anything back into it.
Take a pair of pliers, pull one, and you'll see what I mean.
as a kid I used my teeth, not a bright kid, but it did work.
Please don't try this at home!!

I am amazed that no one else caught on to the fact that you were pulling 22 MAGNUM bullets instead of 22 Long Rifle bullets. But I have done it. I've even done it with an inertia puller...Just not with the whole loaded round. Though you could probably get away with it, it would be risky. A collet style puller would probably work better than what I felt I had to do.
What I did was to take a small tubing cutter and I cut the case in the middle. or rather as close to the primer end as I could get. I then "Flared" the cut end of the case with a plumbing tubing flaring tool. THEN I pulled the bullets from the remaining brass tube with the inertia puller. It's a lot of trouble, and most of the bullets used can be ordered separately, but in your situation I could see how even this might be less problem than trying to get unloaded projectiles.

Keep in mind, this is only what I have HEARD was done when someone was a kid....
This particular juvenile used to take a paperclip, unbend one half of it till you could sit the large loop on the ground & the smaller loop was situated on a 45 degree angle. Then a 22LR was set on the launching pad, and a match was held under the case till it went off.
