Does anyone know the difference between the "standard" wildcat .338-06; and the .338-06 A-Square. Case dimentions, etc.?

Thanks,

There isn't any difference bewteen the A square version and the standard version. A square was just the first to have SAAMI approved and therefore got to name it. - Dan

Agree with Brad totally...it will be the .338-06 in my book...now & forever...
I class that moniker right up there with the 7mm Express.

I believe the name was changed to the 338-06 A-Hole.

Jack Belk is building mine now. I'm going to have it marked as a 338 OKH. There's not that much difference between .333 and .338, I'm sure Elmer wouldn't mind.

Good for you, Soundman. My .338-06 and my hunting buddy's (he coerced me into it...and I'm grateful) just have .338-06 on them, but am tempted to add that OKH for sentimental reasons.
