My Calculoader says it's 107.4 but this is the same program that says the 30/06 Sprg. holds more than the same cartridge improved!

First you zero balance your scale;
Second you fill your case with water;
Third you dump the water onto your scale
And finally, you read the scale!

I do it by weighing a case that has a dead primer in it, filling the case with water and weighing it again.

I am concerned that surface tension and water soaking into a dirty case would change the actual water capacity of a case.

Case capacity of the 416 Remington is approximately 105 grains of water.

This will vary a little from manufacturer to manufacturer and lot to lot.

Steve and Don,
And that is exactly what I'd do if I had a 416Rem case! Thanks. I am trying to work from 416 data back to another case.

Good to see your page back up Steve.

Thank you, Todd. I think I can work this out now. Ku-dude
