Since my Hornady .223 sizing die got broke (bent shaft) I figured it was a good opprotunity to try something different. So I bought a Redding sizing die.

All I can say is WOW! I am very impressed. Little to no runout, very smooth, and didn't have to feel like I was fighting the die. The old Hornady die needed a lot of lube on the neck to not have the case jam up into the die (which is how it got broken in the first place).

Are all Redding products this good? I might have to buy another sizing die for my .308!

I read very few complaints about Redding dies.....but also very few complaints about Lee or RCBS.....as a matter of fact for the money the Lee is a bargain.....need a new .308 die?.....try a Lee...

LOL! I have a Lee die, that is what I have been using. Good die for the money, but sometimes you wonder if you can get just a bit better with something different.

I tried some Redding FL dies and they are not designed right nor are they finished well at all.

First of all a Redding FL dies don't have air vent holes. There is no excuse for this except to make them cheap.

Then all of the recent Redding Fl dies that I have bought were very rough finished inside, where it counts, and had to be polished to prevent case sticking.

The new Lee Fl die that I bought is so far off in dimensions that it's difficult to get a case into it.

The Redding "S" type FL bushing dies that I have are both better finished and do not air dent case walls.

I'm in love with redding dies, the adjustments are so much finer and precise than anything else I've tried. They also come in a better looking box lol It makes my bench look cooler..But seriously, it's the only thing I buy and have never had any trouble with them.
