Shooting a Cooper Model 21 - 223 Rem.
27 grns. 748 with 50 Bl kings.
25.5 grns Hogdon Benchrest with 50 Grn Vmax

Both will shot 5/8" for me at 100 yds.

Tried 322 but couldn't seem to find the
right load for my gun with it.

H322 is too fast of a powder for anything above 40 gr. bullets. I have had good luck with H4895 for 50/55 gr. bullets, and Hodgdon Varget for 55/60 gr. bullets. These powders have provided top velocity, accuracy and temperature stability.

I have had great results with Benchmark in my cooper, 1/2" or less with many loads. 25.5 gr - 26.5 gr with 52 sierra hpbt match, same loads with 50 Blitz have also been good. 27.3 br of BM with 40 gr VMax have done well. Benchmark has worked well with rem 71/2, Fed 205 and CCI BR4. I usually start with the BR4's.
Benchmark has given me the best velocities of any 223 powder I have tried

I've gotten some very good results with 50 Gr. V-Max and Blitzkings using W748, AA2015, Rl-7, but I mostly shoot surplus BLC-2 with great success. At about 66% of the cost of the above powders. Good velocity and under .5 MOA. Oh almost forgot I'm using GM205 or sometimes Remington 7.5 primers.

I like 24.5 gr - 3031 with the 55 gr HP Sierra. That's in a freefloated CZ527.

I have been happy with H4695 under a 52 gr - 55gr bullets or Varget with 55 gr Nosler BT or 60 Gr Sierra SPs. Best accuracy in my M70 HV has been with the 52 gr Hornady and H4895. I use Rem 7 1/2 primers in all 223 loads.

Slay,

You've alrewady got some solid advice here, the .223 is pretty hard to screw up with most reliable loading info; rather sorting out the best from the average. The loads you've mentioned are already giving you superb accuracy.

H335 is one of the best selections by many folks but also considered to be pretty grubby in the tube.

Sorry you didn't have any luck with H322 - I have tried it and found it (like Ballard4590) to be fantastic with 40 grain Noslers & Hornady's.

I like H4895 with just about any good 55 grain bullet and VV N-130 or 133 with 50 grain Sierra TNT's.

Cheers,

Thankyou to everyone:
Now I know what my problem was with using 322
and can continue forward with some confidence using
Benchmark and also use up quit a bit of 322 after buying
some 40 gr. bullets.

I am going to use BL(C)-2 with 75gr Hornady ballistic tips in a 24" AR-15. Where should I start?
