Alliant's published loads look hot. I am loading a 100 grain bullet.

Why would you believe that Alliant’s data is “hot”? It is pressure tested data giving an expected velocity. Speer’s data in their newest #15 manual is identical. Sierra shows 42.8 grains with a different 100-grain bullet. These are all maximum charges, don’t start with any max listed load!
