Would handloaders be willing to share tests of Reloder 16 in commonly used cartridges? Comparisons with R17, H4350, and IMR4350 would be good, too, if available for the particular rifle. +-+-+-+-+-+-+ "A well-rounded hunting battery might include: 500 AccRel Nyati, 416 Rigby or 416 Ruger, 375Ruger or 338WM, 308 or 270, 243, 223" -- Conserving creation, hunting the harvest.

I don't see any improvement over standard powders. both H4831, IMR-4831, H414, RL-17 and RL-22 will get more velocity and probably at less pressure with most I suspect and definitely with the 4831s..Accuracy? I have no idea.. Not being negative, just stating what I believe to be factual, but willing to listen if anyone can support its use over other powders..The poster made no statement to comparison just stated his results therefore opened the gate to some good conversation. Ive found RL-17 to be a bit better in certain calibers but not by much such as 50 to75 FPS in the 9.3x62.. When you compare 4831 to velocity with pressure readings, its near impossible to beat, but it measured like a dump truck so H414 may be a better option to some and RL-22 to others. Perhaps the same can be deduced with RL-16? don't know. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com
