What actually "kills" corncob media is when it becomes saturated with oil.

I get rid of mine in my coal stove, stuff burns like crazy...

And I wash the water soluble lube off my cases before they go into the tumbler.

Hear tell if you throw some strips of paper toweling into the tumbler along with everything else the P. T.'s will remove some of the dirt and increase media life.

Don't know how much they actually increase the life but man, do they turn dirty!
