I am looking for a source for .510 diameter sabots to use with smokeless powder in a 50-140 Sharps. My objective is to be able to use 350-500 grain .458 bullets as a source of readily available and cheaper loads without using cast bullets. I am working with an older Navy Arms rolling block, and the barrel shows some reamer chatter marks near the muzzle (fouls fairly easily with softer cast bullets).

It does fairly well with Beartooth 475 grain gas checks and 5744 or AA8700, but plain base Liberty 505 grainers don't group well at all. I may try Hawk jacketed bullets, or Woodleigh 440 grain jacketed, but it would be great to work up a cheaper plinking load, so how about a source for some sabots .
