SargeRN62gr .223 loads
Anyone using the 62 gr SS109 type military bullets in the .223?? If so looking for a good starting load for my 16" 1:9 HB AR carbine. Currently I have AA2230, TAC, N140/133 and some other N's as well as my old stand-by Varget. Brass is LC with WSR primers. Doing several web searchs has not been real productive - in other words found exactly ONE load so I need soe SERIOUS help!!
Thanks in advance

I'll give you most that I have with 62 gr. bullets:
24.3gr. 2230-C great in big wind. Wind prevented the chrony from going up.
25gr.Accurate 2520 3275 fps. not bad.
24.5gr.H-380, 3000 fps. looks good.
24.5gr.Accurate 4064, 2700 fps, just Great.
26.5gr. WCC846, 3175 fps. 1" group.
All were with WSR primers and various brass manufacturers. This data was gathered using two different rifles,a Stevens Mod. 200 and a Savage 12bvss-s.
Oh! I just want you to know that I made PFC. Three times.
