Before I order some I was wandering if anyone has had experience with any of the plated bullets such as Rainer from Midway in Marlin Micro groove rifling. I plan on using the .357 diameter 158FP's. Has there been good luck with them or are they not compatable? Also if I use my cannelure tool to roll a cannelure(lever action rifle) into one of these plated bullets is there a chance that it will strip the jacket off the bullet in the barrel when fired?

Don't know about the 357s but I have shot around 4000 of the 9mm bullets from rainier, good inexpensive shoot 'em up bullets and fairly accurate, out of all the rounds I've loaded I have had 3 where the jacket or plating 'slipped' a little over the case mouth and if you dont catch it in the loading process it will cause a hang up, but all in all not bad for target bullets.

I have shot several boxes over the years through my 40 S&W and 357 Sig and I know they shoot good in regular rifling but my question was, Does anyone have experience with plated bullets like Rainer 158 gr. plated bullets(or any weight) in Marlin Micro Groove rifling? But thanks anyway for looking.
