Does anyone have any experience with fillers/no fillers in Speer's reduced loads for the 375H&H? They show 27/30 grains of SR4759 and a 235gr jacketed bullet, but do not mention fillers. Is this load safe without filler? Seems like an awlful lot of space left in the case, and if the rifle were tipped to the point where the powder was fully forward, leaving a huge gap between the primer pocket and powder, it seems there might be a problem. ???

TWL, I shot this load many years ago and found it to be extremely accurate. I used polyester pilloe filling, and I was not very consistant with the filler weight. It was humorous to see the ticking blown out of the barrel, but the accuracy once again was amazing. The recoil just about none. One last trick if not using the filler: Put the muzzle to the sky after chambering and slowly level the rifle to keep the powder next to the primer before the shot is fired.

For what it's worth. Loadtech shows reduced loads for the 375H&H. Using 4759, 4227 and 4198. On all but the heaviest loads of 4227 they call for filler. Even with the lightest loads of 4759 and 4198 no filler is called for.

I have had good results with reduced loads for the .338 WM and the .222 Rem. I use both Blue Dot as well as Vihta N110.
When loading the 9.3x74mm R with the same powders and a 193 grain S&B bullet, precision is not so good and not less than about 60 mm at 100 meters. I presumed that this was because the bullet was orignally designed for the old 9.3x72mm R until shootimg some rounds over a chrony. There were big velocity spreads which might be because of powder position in this long cartridge. Someone told me that specufically for this cartridge soem filler might solve this problem.
I have some SR4759 on order and hope that this fluffy powder gives better results through higher uniformity, even without a filler.
