The H414 that I found did ok the other day but seemed to be a little low in the chrony readings..

I found a pound of BLC-2 and there are not a lot of load data that I can find for this powder.

In this time I gues you learn to shoot what you can find...

Do you have any good loads for a 139/140 grain or 150 grain bullets using BLC-2? Thanks, Jim

Most of my old reloading manuals are from the late 70's and early 80's so they do not even show a 7mm-08.

Hodgdon has one load for

a max of 44.7 for 139 and

41.5 for a 150 grain bullet

I realize over the years the lawyers have caused the Max load to shrink 2-3 grains from the old reloading manuals.

I understand that any max you put down is for your rifle ONLY and not to be tried without working any otherrifle up to it own max load.

Thanks, Jim

BLC-2 is an outstanding powder for the 7-08.
I would not start with the max loads as the powder is temp sensitive. Driving to the range in a nice warm POV and the ammo is warmed up will cause pressure spikes without you realizing what is going on.
I have been using this powder for over 45 years now and really like it in many calibers.

The magic phrase is to work up a load in your rifle.
just keep that in mind.
powders an other components change from batch to batch and lot to lot. The powder made 30yrs ago are not the same as the powders we are using today. They substitute materials all the time to develope the same powders

I have used 42 gr of BL C 2 in two of my 7mm-08 rifles. Accurate, and, if memory serves, just over 2700 fps. - dan
