Move along folks, many thanks to those who understood what I was seeking and provided helpful information. Your help is sincerely appreciated.

snowmanJust about every loading manual has the data you are looking for. Just a word of caution. If you are using brass stamped +P they are heavier than reg 257 brass and the max load will be a grain or two less than with reg cases. I weigh my cases and for every 10 grains heavier a case is I reduce the max load by 1 gr of powder. I would advise segragating your cases

jeffeossoSnowman,
GREAT point - warm loads in normal brass are much warmer in the +p brass r

GunswizardLooking for a load you've used or a link to published data, not superfluous information thank you so much.

In what rifle? Big difference depending on age, magazine length and throat length.
21 November 2023, 03:27
dpcdWhat is a Cheeky?
Yes, BIG different in rifles, so no one can just give you loads. For example, my 257 is a tang safety Ruger 77, with a throat so long that I seat bullets out with only .1 inch in the neck, and I use 25-06 data and get those velocities. Do not do anything I say or do, as usual.
Ken Waters Pet loads has what you want, for other rifles. I'll dig it out.
257 is a great round, but the idiots at Remington put it on a short action so it was doomed to failure in the commercial market.
One more thing; Plus P brass is not thicker; it just tells what was in it as a factory load.
It is not thicker, nor stronger.

GunswizardThanks to rcraig for providing the link to the information that I was seeking.
21 November 2023, 18:31
GunswizardI have the info that I was seeking, no further replies sought. Thanks.
21 November 2023, 19:51
dpcdNot for you; I did see that you didn't want any more data; for everyone else.
21 November 2023, 20:37
GunswizardNo snarky comments either.
21 November 2023, 20:46
jeffeossoCareful, Tom, as THE gunwiz will find fault in your posting information that wasn't exactly what he requires -
21 November 2023, 21:43
GunswizardFeel free to post whatever you please, too stupid to understand what is being asked for.
21 November 2023, 22:31
dpcdI thought you wanted data for 4350 and 117 grain bullets; you do realize you can use data for 120 grainers too. 3 grains less means nothing. And most guys find pet loads data interesting. Anyway, I said it wasn't for you, so not sure why you called me stupid. I fully understood your directive. I was not replying to you, as I said. Internet threads are not personal property.
I didn't expect that. Bad day in Indiana?
21 November 2023, 22:47
dpcdHow about this one? As always, helping fellow firearms enthusiasts.
21 November 2023, 23:03
dpcdFrom Nosler book: same data for both 115 and 120 grain.
21 November 2023, 23:04
jeffeossosee what I mean? i didn't kick his dog or anything. Bad day to switch to decaf, i guess.
I wonder which brass that was from?

I hadn't realized you've taken over AR - I think DRG and Saeed might say something. I realized i didn't have immediate access to my reloading data from 40 something years ago, when I was playing with many loads on the 257 -- my wife bought a 257 for my birthday, decades ago - I loaded everything from 25 acp bullets (they blue streaked, btw) to obsolete 130 grain bullets, and all of my kids took their first deer with it - and, again decades later, when I had a pretty bad ATV wreck, i used it again to keep me in the field, once my shoulder healed --
Yes, I didn't have the "exact" load you asked for, and snowman reminded me of a safety feature I had forgotten. And I thought it was worthwhile -- perhaps wisdom has several meanings
We help each other WILLINGLY and its' a bit of anarchy, and like a wise man said

Gunswizarddpcd kindly posted the info that I was seeking, apparently you don't understand snarky remarks. Perhaps the moderators would be interested in your posts ? Just saying.
21 November 2023, 23:58
jeffeossoSure thing, man - report me to mark for supporting safety in reloading -- be certain to give your hubris to him, i am CERTAIN it will be well received ..
or, conversely, you could see how the forums works, and go with the flow -
Your choice -- step up
btw, this is a snarky comment --
Oh, wait, i'll call mark and report myself
oh, i hate to tell you, you have two of the grumpiest curmudgeons on AR on this thread

what did this post bring to the subject of 117gr bullets, with h430, in the 257 roberts?
23 November 2023, 08:17
GunswizardPost was directed at the little girl who came here crying about a bullet transaction that didn't happen because they were a rude a sshole. Didn't have anything to do with my original question, nor did their off topic post looking to stir up chit.

op wanted load data on 117 gr 257 roberts with h4350
Uhm, GWIZ, you know there is EXACTLY one poster who's actions you can control? ONE
But. in the sense of trying to expand your horizons, since you "got what you wanted", wouldn't "MYOB" mean you do so?
Or is this again a "rules for they but not for me"
Bye the bye, it is his business, at least as much as it is yours, to ask questions on these forums.
Don and Saeed still haven't told us of your new ownership of these forums, weird, huh?

jeffeossoi mean you "closed" the thread -- weird how you keep posting
