ramshot tac in 223
Anyone ever use this powder in a 223 with good results? I am interested in possibly trying it out, just wondering if anyone here had ever tried it.
Sorry I listed the pwder in the topic, but not the question, the powder I am talking about it ramshot tac. Thanks

ricciardelliI used it with bullet weighing from 40 to 80 grains, and the only one it impressed me with was the 77 grain Sierra HPBT.
TAC From 21.8 grains to 24.0 grains

lawndartThat is what Black Hills loads the M-262 M1 Sniper ammo with for the military.
I love that powder in the .223/5.56.
Get a Ramshot catalog. Their data is available online.
For the lighter bullets, try Ramshot X-Terminator. Works great through a Dillon powder measure.

eddieharrenCleanest burning ball powder I've ever used.
Had great success with it in a 6PPC. It was the only PPC barrel I ever had that would shoot TAC worth a damn.
It worked very well when I developed my replica of Black Hills MK 262 load. It and H4895 were nearly neck and neck. The H4895 barely had the accuracy edge but the TAC beat H4895 for velocity. This using Horn 75's and Nosler 77's.
