Just got an FN FAL, what is the best bullet to shoot out of this. 147, 150, 165 ? Surplus nato stuff or handload, All info welcomed.

Used to have a FAL, great rifle because it will shoot just about anything due to the adj. gas system. I shot alot of surplus stuff out of mine, handloads w/ 147gr, 168grSMK, etc. no problems. It's not as "delicate" as the M1A, probably the wrong adjectvie, but it's tough to hurt a FAL.
