Just got my dies from Natchez supply. Opened them up and were checking them out. First set of lee dies I ordered. Then something struck me as wrong. The seater die is labeled 7MM STW the FL die is labeled 7MM MAG. Did I get screwed or is this right. It seems that the 7MMSTW should have a longer case and this will crush the shoulders. Also the lock ring on the FL die looks like some one has been using a pair of channel loc plier on it with all the scratches on it. The seater die is pristine.

Natchez said that I needed to call Lee to see if there was a mistake in putting the wrong FL die in the set. They are closed until Monday. Again I think I got screwed.

Mistakes do happen in the packaging lines. Guess you will have to wait 'till Monday but if they were mine, I'd try one case in them now, just to see what happens. If it's ok, you're home free. If not, it costs you one case and you are REALLY ready to talk with Lee!

In looking at the overall case length, the 7mm STW should be around 2.85" and the 7mm Rem mag should be 2.50". Obviously the mag FL die would crush the case if I Fl sized. Is the shoulder angle the same?

So much for working up a load this weekend!!!!

Steve has all the dimensions on his site. The shoulders are the same. The STW is a touch smaller at the shoulder

If you are in a hurry you should be able to neck size your fired brass. Question being would lee swap afterwards?

As usual just my $.02

I was wondering about that as well? The FL die looks used as far as the lock nut goes anyway. I guess I could order a 7mm Mag seating die and an 7MM stw Fl die and have two die sets.

It's just aggravating that something like this can happen. Gets through Lee QC no one at Natchez catches it, and I am the one out the inconvenience for all those mistakes.
