What's the difference between the magnum cannalure and the standard cannalure. I know it probably has to do with the location on the bullet, but, in the pictures they both look the same.

Times must be tough out in California if that's your entire stash. I try to keep that much on hand for each cartridge I load for - you never know what's gonna happen. Smiler

I take the Mormon approach to stocking-up when it comes to reloading supplies.

What's really bad is that we just moved into a rental house while we're building the new house and a bunch of my stuff is in storage.

Somewhere in there is about 14 lbs of Powder, and about 8,000 pistol bullets in .45 and 40 cal.

I also can't find a new Pacnor Supermatch 22.250 barrel,a stainless 22 rimfire barrel, a blued 243 barrel, a Choate ultimate sniper stock and a Dillon 550B reloading press.

Big Grin

I hate moving! Mad

Shouldn't the primers be in a separate cabinet?

Frank ; At least yours are in a cabinet . Nice neat organized way to go . Kudo's on You .

All my projectiles are on the floor in cardboard boxes . Under lying rows are flat those on top rows are on end , so I can see what's what .
Every large cardboard box has a .224 .284 .308 .38 .44 , you get the picture .

When I'm loading what ever caliber and load those are up on the bench . Along with what powder I'm using . My powder sets in cardboard boxes inside cabinets ( most of it any way ).On those cabinet tops are my tumbler and shaker .

Any of you remember the line from the movie Jaws when Quint told Chief Brody " Wait till the taxidermy man see what I brung em ,He's going have a heartache !".

That's why the fire Marshal isn't allowed around here !.

Because in this county they require a " REAL MAGAZINE " . Which NO ONE CAN COMPLY WITH !. Local shops are limited to 1 lb. container sales !. At $ 25.00 plus per , OUCH !.

My dies are all on tool heads which are nicely neatly racked on shelfs around my loading bench along with shell plates in their boxes under them . Presses, scales ,tools , lube ,Etc. . My entire bench is Covered with with a special two sided tarp. One side nasty oily moisture repellent other moisture absorbing .

Left side of the L bench has #34 25lb bags of #4 - # 8 shot under it along with cases of different wads hulls and empty shot shell boxes .
Under my main loading bench ( cartridge side ) are 20mm rocket cans stacked , where all my primers are stored with desiccant gel packs inside each can . I have 7 of those cans full !.
In my loading room near my desk are all my cleaning supplies along with manuals weapons vices and cradles .

In my other shop I have full cases of ammo stacked ( away from everything else ). The other building next to my shop is my clean room and Lab .

Then my computer room which is in the house also in the Lab which is networked .

I'll be up front the ONLY reason mine are some what organized is because of last years fire storm scramble . It was a Cluster F king mess around here . So when I put everything back I decided to do it with purpose full though !.

For load development does it really matter .

For that price you can't go wrong , for match shooting well that's another ball game .

I recently bought a 1000 bullets, TNT's, in .224, 33 grs for my Hornet. I also ordered 400 of the 165 gr SBT bullets. I am thinking they are Speers. I should be ordering a 1000, but money is getting a little tight now.

With the prices of everything going up, now is the time to stock up. I wish these 308 cal. bullets were 150 grs. My Remington Model Seven loves them. Wink

PS: I think the cannelure bullets are Hornadays. I don't like the cannelures except for magnum cartridges. Just my own thoughts.

FYI... The magnum cannalure is located higher up on the bullet and "MAY" (according to Midway) have a thicker jacket.

The good old days when Midway shipped for free. Long ago! They said they were going to lower the prices and have the customer take care of shipping so it would be more fair to everyone.

Bullets just arrived today. Midway has fast shipping to here!
I still don't know what brand I have. Matching up with my Hornady 165 btsp it is really different. These have a sharper more narrower cone , longer point with a little more exsposed lead, shorter bt .125,measures 1.202 in length overall.
The light blue plastic case it is repackaged in is nice. Resealable snap lid, stays snaped in place.
For $16.40 a box, including shipping (10 boxes) I am a happy camper dancing

I got the order the other day and I believe the bullets are Nosler Spitzers. They don't match any of hte other bands, but do match the Nosler bullets I have. The clue isthe bevel on hte boat tails. They are shorter and more of an angle.

Anyway will load some up and take them to the range next week.
