Pushed the envelope just a little too far. Blew a primer with 60gr. barrier Bullet in front of 25gr accurate 2200 TAKE HEED Using a .223 Ruger M77 varmint and a Savage 12BVSS-S both rifle prited 1/4" multi round groups at 50 yds. using Winchester varmint factory loads of 45gr. jhp at 3436fps.and PMP factory 55gr. PSPs. at 3300 fps. The Savage pierced the primers on the PMPs the Ruger did not. This the only time other than when using small pistol primers in the .223 that the Savage did this. A happy **in adition: 60gr. Sierra HP driven by 24gr. of acc73 at 3062fps. got a 6 shot 3/8" group from the Savage and an equally good result from the Ruger. The two fatory loads were a really pleasant shocker.Hell there is no telling how good the stuff is in these rifles from this shooting as I am not that good any more. The other rifle hand has only been at it a little over a year. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!!
