Yes! I am not at home where my reloading records are kept but I will post a load which has both functioned and is reasonably accurate in my carbine on this site tomorrow.

best load I've found for my Universal Stainless M1 carbine is

Winchester case

CCI SR primer

Speer 110gr SP

14.6 gr WW 296

As far as Alliant products, their reloading guide lists the following

Federal case

CCI 400 (SR) primer

100gr Hornady

12.3 gr 2400

produces 1,815fps @34,500 CUP

I haven't used this load, but it "sounds" about right.

good luck

Sorry! It's taken me longer to reply than I expected. My load that has function well and been accurate in two carbines is as follows:
13.0 AA#9 with GI cases CCI-400 primers and 110 gr SP RN at approx 1897 ft/sec. I have used FMC bullets as well but my vision with military sights is not good enough for me to tell if one bullet shoots appreciably better than another. As I recall, I got 2-21/2 inch groups at l00 yds.

Sure wish you guys would answer the question the original poster placed here!

He asked about loads using Unique powder...NOT W-296, nor 2400, nor AA-9.

Lyman lists the following loads with Unique.

311576 120 RNGC
5.0 1300 fps 22,200 CUP 6.3 1526 fps 39,000 CUP

311410 130 RN

4.9 1260 fps 23,400 CUP 6.1 1468 fps 35,000 CUP

I checked it but if it looks like a typo and I did the typing . . . it probably is.

Don't forget all the legal eagle mumbo jumbo that is always inserted at this point in loading info

You are correct of course.
However, as fine as Unique is for it's intended purposes, it ain't the best choice for 30 Carbine full power loads especially in a semiauto and I didn't figure he would get a huge number of responses for this caliber on this forum.
I'll be more careful in the future.

In July of (I think) 1973 I tried 8.5 Unique with WW 6 1/2 116 primer in RA 53 brass and a 100 grain Hornady plinker bullet. No other record, e.g. velocity, accuracy, etc., and never tried it again.

BTW, that was the Hercules Unique, not Alliant, so I guess I'm not exactly on point either.

Since I'm not on point anyway, I may as well tell you about the other loads I use in my Standard Productions WW II Carbine.

I shoot a lot of 13 gr H 4227 with 120 grain 311 359 cast from wheel weight with the same primers and LC 5 brass.

Some 15 gr 2400 with the 100 gr Hornady plinker, same brass and primers.

Quite a bit of 15 gr H 110, 100 and 110 Hornady plinker/RN, same brass and primer.

Really like the 4227 and cast though. Shoots for about the same cost as 22lr.

YMMV, and remember to double check ALL data against published loads and proceed with caution.

Alliant sells Unique now. Do you doubt the great Richardini?
I do still have half a can of Hercules Unique, so I'm still ok.

All the loads you list are powders that are much more "useable" in 30 Carbine and are within the recommended ranges in the Speer,Hodgdon, and Sierra manuals I own.
I'd try them in a minute if I was looking for a load, but alas, only the 2400 is from the correct manufacturer.
