Say I just came across a supply of 30/06 LC 68 Match brass. And I think I remember someone, somewhere, saying that there were some years that the Lake City plant made some "soft" brass. Not that the brass was defective just not as hard as other years.

Can anyone share some more light on this.

I have had good luck in 7.62 NATO with 72 and 94 LC Match brass. I have heard that they are desired by others as well. Don't know the rest of the years.

Mine was 65 & 67 and I had no problems either. I have also heard recently that LC brass was no good. You couldn't tell it from the performance I've seen.
