Anyone have 5.45x39 fired cases that they would like to sell? I live on the Big island and there is no ammo for my 74 for 3 years now. I would like to try my hand at reloading the 5.45x39. I would like at least 4 or 500 minimum cases. If you can help with my problem I sure would appreciate it. It is near impossible to order ammo here anymore. Thank you for your help Aloha Kakou RR

Yes I have CH dies. Bought same time as my 8mm nambu dies Use .223 projectiles sized through lee custom bullet sizer turn my own primer pocket bushings for boxer small rifle primers, I understand you can use 222 rem brass with extractor modification but again no brass. I know there is a company that sells cases for 2 bucks a pop but forget that! So all I need is for someone to sell me some cases? Anyone? Anyone at all? Bueler? Bueller?

Aloha RR, Obviously, surplus ammo is not readily available. I first thought that perhaps cases could be made by reforming 7.62 x 39 brass but the base and rim diameters are larger so turning the cases down would not be a reasonable endeavor. Hornady sells 5.45 x 39 steel cased ammo under their Varmint Express Line, item #8124 in boxes of 50 count. Not sure if these are boxer primed steel cases that you could try to reload but worth a try. BTW, live on Oahu. Come visit the gun show at the Blaisdell on Mar. 21 and 22nd. Geoff Shooter
