22-250, Mod 200 Stevens, stock trigger,RP cases, #34 primers.
  • 52grian hp-fb Berger, 36.5grains DP 74, oal=2.427", mild clean, 3565 to 3698fps. ONE hot load 3829 fps.?? 5 shot 1/2"group at 50 yds.1" at 200yds.
  • 34grains HP Varmint Nite Mare, 36.5grains DP 74, oal= 2.315",some soot, mild, 3576 to 3663 fps. one load = 3824 fps.4 shot 3/8" group at 50 yds., deadly at 200 yds.
  • 34 grain hp varmint nite mare, 34.2 grains WCC 844. oal= 2.315", mild some soot, 3361 to 3420 fps., 3 shot 1/2" group at 50yds. next shot 1/4" out. 3 shot 2" group at 200yds.
  • 52 grain hp-fb Berger, 36.1 grains WCC846, oal=2.417", 3472 to 3673???, fps., 4 shot 3/4" group at 50 yds. great at 200yds.
  • 52 grain hp-fb., Berger, 34.2 grains WCC844, oal=2.417",mild, soot, 3368 to 3405 one round 3525 FPS., great at 300 yds.
  • 34 grain hp VNM., 36.1 grains WCC846, mild,soot, 3879 to 3915 FPS., 3 shot 1/2" group at 50yds.great at 300yds.

    hilbily .270, Mod 200 Stevens stock trigger, WLR primer.
  • 130 grain psp Speer, 39 grains IMR 4895, case RP oal= 3.342", Really clean, 2391 to 2514 fps., 3 shot 1" group at 50 yds.
  • 150 grain psp., 36.3 grains DP2200, Norma case, oal= 3,392", 2351 to 2402 fps., 4 shot 1" group at 50 yds., Deadly at 200 and 300 yds.
  • 130 gr. psp., Speer, 53grains H4831, FC cases, *#34 primer*, clean near max., oal=3.325", 2741 to 2836 fps. 3 shot 1" group at 50 yds. just great out to 400 yds.
  • 130 grain, PSP. Speer, RP cases, 42 grains acc. 4064, oal= 3.342", 2612 to 2643 fps., not bad.

    popcornSome of the reduced loads at 30-30 energy levels in the .270 really looked good and produced some greatly reduced recoil and capability out to at least 300 yds for those who know what they're doing.

    fishingThe 22-250 data may help those that benefit from using the surplus powders. I guess the rest will have to suck air for not having economic insight. beerroger
