When all else appeared to be failing, I contacted Hornady in an attempt to get loading data for the 7mm Rem Ultra Mag. In less than a week, they mailed me four pages of reloading data for the cartridge. It's great to know that Hornady will work with you. All I got from the "other guys" were excuses. Buy Hornady, the really care.

I use Hornady bullets and find them accurate and affordable, and also plenty OK for killing game animals, including the African plains variety. But their customer service isn't that hot.

The .300 WSM has been out for about as long as the 7mm RUM. I've emailed them repeatedly for the past several months and get the same excuses every time: they are working up data. By now, I've already worked up my own data for their bullets in the .300 WSM. Maybe I should send THEM some data.

Go look at their website. Most handloaders would want to know things like B.C and S.D. of a bullet. You won't find that information there.

I also wrote them a letter and sent them some pictures of the trophies I took with their bullets on an African trip, and asked them some questions concerning bullet construction. Not only did they not answer my questions, was my letter never even acknowledged !

For a different approach to customer service, go to Sierra Bullets website. It's packed with all the relevant information. Then email them a question. You will get a personalized detailed response. Since that experience I've tried some of their bullets and are very pleased. I'll be using them this time around in Africa.

I like like thier bullets a lot, but...

I bought some some 308 TAP ammo, accuracy was awful and all of the brass cases cracked at the neck. It took about 5 emails and 3 phone calls to get everything hashed out, they finally offered to replace the stuff, didn;t leave me with a good feeling though, especially since most reloading oriented companies are service oriented.

Hmmm, I had a question for them about the b.c. of their new SST's. I e-mailed them with the bullets in ? and recieved a reply the next day! I needed it to use the free point blank software I had just downloaded. I'm tickled with their service and the SST!

Well, it appears that you can't please everyone. Like I said, when I needed some info they were there for me. I like their products, and I like their service policy. Just thought I would share my feelings.
