EterryReduced loads for 416 Taylor, for practice.
I have plenty of 390gr gas check hard cast for my Taylor. I've used them before, great accuracy.
I typically use 3031, 4064,or R-7.
I can't lay my hands on my Pet Loads book.
I'm wanting around 1800fps. I have full power loads,x wanting to practice some. How much can I safely reduce loads by % ?
Thanks in advance.

EterryBeing the Taylor is a necked down 458, could I use 458 WM data for 400 gain cast bullets?

p dog shooterI loaded some WC860 50BMG powder I mine just see it it worked. I had load velocity of 1426fps with 70grs and a 300 gr bullet.
With a 300gr resized pistol bullet and 60grs of IMR4064 I had 2080fps
With a 250grcast I had 1010fps with 10grs of Herco.
With 50grs of WC852 and a 350gr I had 1452fps
With a 350gr X bullets and 65grs of IMR4064 I had 2150fps
Might give you a starting point
