I have tried it with 168gr Barnes Triple Shoks. I experienced stiff bolt lift way under the listed max load. Maybe it is the bullets, but I will be using different powder for my 300 WSM. I have been having very good luck accuracy wise with IMR-4831 and IMR-4350 and Triple Shoks and 180gr SST's. Hunter has been working well for my with my 223 WSSM and 60gr V-Max bullets. My experience might be an anomoly; I don't know for sure. Aaron

Don't get suckered in by some magazine article. The 300 WSM shoots many powders very efficiently and accurately, and I doubt that YOUR experience with Ram Shot Hunter will be much different from W760, H4350, IMR 4831 or 10 other powders.

Hunter is an interesting powder, in that it is supposed to be temperature stable AND double based. The burn rate is supposedly remarkably close to RL19, which would be a good alternative double based powder HTH, Dutch.
