I have several standard RCBS die sets. I have read that the only difference between these and the X die series is the special X die mandrel which is available separately.

So can I convert a standard RCBS FLS die to an X sizing die simply by buying the mandrel??

Yep, that's my next step but keep in mind I'm DownUnder and last time I rang RCBS I was on hold for 40 minutes on my dime on an international call.
Email isn't much better. My experience is that I never get a definitive answer by email. Don't know if that's a liability or laziness thing.
