Gents,

I've seen this cailber/powder combo mentioned from time to time, but haven't seen any actual load data.

At the range today, my 338WM didn't seem to care for the 250gr Hornady RN load with IMR-4350. So I broke down and bought the only box of Nosler Partitions in town. These are the 210gr variety and I plan on using them next week.

BTW, there's no more RL22 in town either, and I'm almost out, so that's not an option this time either.

I do have two pounds of RL15 on hand though, because the 416 Taylor and 375H&H just love the stuff. [Smile]

So I really need some load data for the 210gr Nosler Partition using Reloder 15 powder, for the 338 Winchester Magnum!

Is this data in the latest Nosler manual? I have at least 6 different reloading manuals, including Nosler #4. It's not that I'm too cheap to buy manuals, I'm just in a bind right now. [Eek!]

Thanks for any help!

RW: Later, you may want to try RL-19, which is another great powder for the .338WM.

I use RL-19 with bullets up to 250 grains, but RL-22 gives me more velocity with 275-grain Swift bullets. I haven't tried 300-grain Woodleigh bullets, but I may do so one of these days.

Hi BW: Try 65.0 grains of Re15 with the 210 Nosler Partition and a Federal 210 standard primer (I used 210 Match). In my rifles this load was extremely accurate with the few test loads I tried but the velocity was low for the bullet. I got 2850 fps from one of my rifles. I also use a standard practice and hunting load of 66.0 grains of Re15, 210M primer, and Federal Nickel cases under a 180 Nolser Ballistic Tip which gives just under 3000 fps and fantastic accuracy right out to 300 yards. I have also tried 65.0 grains with a 200 Nosler BT but didn't get consistent accuracy. Good Luck, Steve

Gents

Thanks to all of you for the help!

I'm actually feeling a bit stupid right now, as I did find data for this combo in Nolser Manual #4. I guess I was so busy working up loads with 250gr bullets (which doesn't have RL15 listed) I just assumed that RL15 wasn't listed for the 210gr versions either.

Again, my appologizes for causing extra work! Plus, another big thanks for the data, and personal experiences shared.

Thanks!
