Partition vs Partition Gold

I am loading up my 280 for my upcoming Elk hunting trip and ran across a bullet problem. I am also running out of time to get to a range for load development

I have my favorite load worked up with 160 gr Partition Gold bullets and only have 10 left. I have two boxes of standard 160 gr Partitions. How will these load compared to Partition Golds?

I see the Nosler manual recommends beginning with the starting loads for the Partition Gold bullets because of construction differences. I am aware of the construction differences.

Since I already worked up the loads with the Partition Golds would I be ok with the Partitions?

What is the difference in accuracy?

My Partition Golds are of the CT variety ie. moly coated and the loads ARE different in my 300WM.

Unless you are operating at really really max pressure I don't think powder charges will make a big diff. I've played with 150 part golds in several .308 cal and don't see them making more or less pressure.
If you are dialed in with the load and have 10 bullets left what are the odds you'd even use 5 of them to kill an animal?? If it were me I'd load up the partitions with the same powder charge....go to the range...fire 1 or 2 of the last golds. Then I'd switch to the parts and see where they go and what they clock out at. Don't sweat a problem that may not be there.

The PG is a "harder" bullet than the NP. I have tested the non moly & they shoot fine over the same powder charge in my 280 but that is my rifle. FWIW, I think they are twoo "hard" for 280vel. unless you are talking well under 100yds. I prefer the std. partition, it expands better @ 280vel. Also, shooting non moly after moly & vis versa, often yields poor accuracy.
