Anybody use these on game? Are they the same as the original Core-Lokt bullets I have used for years, or some updated BONDED bullet?

May use them for loading for my 7 X 57.

Thanks,

They are a newer design bonded bullet. I haven't used any but wouldn't be opposed to trying them. What they probably did was bonded the core and jacket of the Corelokt. This is just my pondering and may not be factual, but I wonder if the just painted it blue and called it new. I really liked the original Corelokt and have killed a lot of deer with them.

The original CoreLokt were among the most under rated cup 7 core bullets.

I picked up several hundred 30 cal 165 gr bonded bullets . They are NOT the same as the older corelokt bullet. Ended up with a Rem 700 in 300 Win in a trade. This rifle shoots the Rem bullets under an inch. Tried them on a whitetail. Deer ran about 20yds bullet passed through. Lungs were a big lump of jello. I would use them again in heartbeat

Several years back I shot a blacktail deer with the Core-Lokt Ultra 160 grain factory load in 7mm Rem mag. The bullet hit the left front shoulder and stopped in the right rear ham so I got to look at it. It's indeed bonded. Why would it not be if Remington said it was?

I too like the original Core-Lokt's. Realistically I can't think of a single situation in North America where a plain old Core-Lokt in an appropriate diameter and weight wouldn't work just fine but the Ultra's work as good or better in my very limited experience with them.

I've used the 180 gr in the 30-06 and had excellent results.

They took the core-lokt bullet and upgraded it (if that's possible) by bonding the core..Has to be as good as the very best...I know some elk hunters who are using them and totally sold on them, which isn't surprising at all..
