I just purchase some LAPUA bulk brass this is my first time using this brass and I can not belive how clean and ready to use it is. Out of 40 pieces of brass I check 2.01 to 2.012 OAL the case mouth deburr and sized. I run them through my sizing die this time. The next box I will try reloading them right out of the box. This is the best brass I have seen. Has anyone else use this brass and have you had good luck with it.

It's good stuff. I use it exclusively for my .308 and have found it to be very uniform. Lapua also will outlast the other guys - in rifle calibers you can get 9 - 10 reloads out of each case. It's a bargain when you factor that in.

Another Lapua fan.

Just bought some more Lapua for my .338 Lapua. I have found Lapua has this highest quality brass around. I would rate Bell/MAST a close second and Norma a distant third. Everything else is way down the scale as far as quality and uniformity. But this is what you should expect at $2.05 a case!

Any brass can generally be worked into good condition (except for Remington). Its just that Lapua doesnt require a bunch of prep work and they seem to hold up well to repeated reloadings. Anneal the necks every once in a while and they keep on ticking.

I have never used bulk brass before. I have always used factory loaded brass, shot it and then used the empties to reload. I broke down and bought some bulk 338 Lapua brass at a gun show and the brass would not fit into my shell holder (RCBS). Is this common for new never fired brass? Do you have to machine the lip down on the brass to fit the shell holder?

I recently bought 1000 new Lapua 308 Win cases and it's amazing, I had never cases with such a small weight tolerance as with this on. I have not done a proper statistical analyze but out of the 1000 the lightest was 11.202 gram and the most heavy one 11.289 gram. Well, most of them where between 11.24 and 11.27 gram (one gram = 15.4324 grain). The price of one new cage was 0.22$.
