I will be getting my first 44/40 with in the next 2 weeks and I don`t know where to start for any loads.The gun is a Lever action carbine.So do you guys have any good loads you can share?

What action is that carbine, Henery, 1866,1873,1892?? the reason i ask is that the Henery,1866,1873 are of the toggle link action which is not as strong as the 1892 or the new Marlins. my Lyman 46th edition shows two different load data. the toggle link and similar actions CUP should not exceed 13,700 CUP and the stronger actions should not exceed 22,000 CUP. HTH
