Barnes data for their X and solids is ca. 2700 fps

Your question is a little confusing because according to my Speer manual #14 their is no 270gr Bear Claw.
Speer makes:
- a 250 gr TBBC (Trophy Bonded Bear Claw).
- a 270 gr Spitz BTSP (Boat Tail Soft Point).
- a 285 gr GS SP (Grand Slam Soft Point).
They also make a lighter 235 gr and heavy 300 gr bullets.

If it is the Speer 270 gr. Spitz BTSP your are inquiring velocity info on, then my Speer manual says with a Winchester case and CCI250 primer loaded with W760 the minimum charge is 80.0 grs and that should make 2525 Fps from a 24" bbl.
The max charge is 82.0 compressed for a velocity of 2564 Fps.
