Hi guys, As a newbie to the reloading thing, I need to order some powders to get me started. I'm loading for a 260Rem primarily while also having a 308Win and a 243Win. I've ordered some H4350 but thought it may be an idea to have a couple of them available. Any thoughts? Rgds, FB

The H4350 will work fin in the 243 and 260 but is not an optimum performer in 308. Varget, RE-15 and IMR-4064 would get my vote for the 308 and will work well in the other 2 using lighter projectiles. IMR 4064 is a superb powder for many applications, including the ones you mention. It is especially good with lighter bullets. If I had to make do with only two powders, I'd probably choose IMR 4064 and a slower-burning one. Although many people like it, I've never found an application for Varget in which something else wasn't better. "How's that whole 'hopey-changey' thing working out for ya?"
