Anyone out there particularly fond of using H1000 and 200 grain projectiles in the 300 RUM?

I love the 200gr projectile. I had best luck with RL-22 and Retumbo in 2 different rifles, but H-1000 would be good too as well as RL-25......DJ

I preferred H-870...

Yep, its my favorite combo. sure you ain't going to break any speed records but I get little tiny clover leafs at about 3000fps with 90gr of H1000 and 200gr accubonds.

Never had any luck with 870 and Retumbo throws flyers ever now and then.

88.0gr and a 200smk's were VERY accurate for me (tight chamber).

Out of curiosity, what kind of velocity are you getting out of 88.0 grains?

I'll have to recheck,..but I think right at a bit over 3100fps from a 30" tube. I switched to the 216gr clinch river and retumbo and have gotten to 3200fps+ so far and still no pressure.
