Grapithe coating of ordinary bullets
A friend of mine, uses to coat ordinary rifle bullets with graphite by tumbling them into graphite powder mixed with small steel spheres; graphite seems to stick to bullets quite well and he claims that it extends barrel life. Any opinions would be appreciated. - Lorenzo

He's likely using Moly Disulfide, not graphite. Moly works very well for me in high-volume barrels.

Jeffe, could you explain me how graphite under pressure become an abrasive? There are graphite-based greases and lubricant oils... Lorenzo
